Designed to make the most out of Intel’s Core processors, the MPG Z790 CARBON WIFI II features an 8-layer PCB constructed from 2 oz thickened copper internals, two reliable 8-pin CPU power connectors, PCIe Steel Armor slots, Digital PWM, and 19+1+1 power layout to ensure electrical throughput suitable for handling high-powered components. Load-line calibration and overvoltage protection are also built into the motherboard, offering additional layers of electrical reliability.

Cooling Capabilities

To properly maintain thermal performance across your entire system, the MPG Z790 CARBON WIFI II utilizes an extended MOSFET, VRM, PCH heat sinks, and direct-touch heat pipes to efficiently dissipate heat. A double-sided M.2 Shield Frozr thermal solution is designed to keep your M.2 storage drives safe, prolonging the lifespan of your files and installed systems. The MPG Z790 CARBON WIFI II supports All-in-One (AiO) water cooling radiators for internal system and CPU cooling. Fan headers detect fans running in DC or PWM modes and optimize their performance to maintain silent operation without compromising performance. Additionally, you can manually adjust fan performance through the BIOS or use MSI’s AI ENGINE to automatically detect CPU and GPU temperatures and react properly.
