Designed to maintain thermal performance and prevent system throttling, the AORUS ELITE X AX’s fully covered VRM Thermal Armor Advanced heat sink, M.2 Thermal Guard L, 8-layer copper PCB, 7 W/mK Thermal Pad, and 8mm heatpipe work together to ensure that onboard components are safe under heavy loads. Smart Fan6 application gives users the ability to monitor and operate connected fans to assist with cooling capabilities.

Networking

The Z790 AORUS ELITE X AX features a 2.5GbE LAN port and Wi-Fi 7 with Ultra-high gain antenna. The 2.5GbE LAN port provides up to 2.5x faster speeds than standard Gigabit Ethernet ports, while the Wi-Fi 7 provides up to 3.2x faster speeds than Wi-Fi 6. The Ultra-high gain antenna helps to improve signal strength and range.

Front Panel USB-C Connector

The USB 3.2 Gen 2 port has a throughput up to 10 Gb/s while connected to USB 3.2 compliant peripherals. With the USB Type-C connector, users can enjoy the flexibility of a reversible connection to access and store massive amounts of data rapidly.
