The synology RS2423RP+ is equipped with a 3.35 GHz AMD Ryzen V1780B Quad-Core processor and 8GB of DDR4 ECC memory that can be expanded up to 32GB. This NAS is equipped with 12 drive bays that natively support 3.5″ SATA hard drives, as well as 2.5″ SATA hard drives and SSDs for data storage.
The RS2423RP+ runs on the Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) OS, which is a browser-based operating system that helps to simplify managing your Synology NAS. Also featured are two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports for peripherals and accessories, plus a mini-SAS HD expansion port for an RX1223RP expansion unit. Network connectivity is achieved via the one 10 Gigabit Ethernet port or two Gigabit Ethernet ports. For those who require RAID support, the RS2423RP+ supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10, as well Synology Hybrid and Basic, each of which offers performance, data redundancy, or a combination of both. For those who do not require a RAID, JBOD is also available, allowing each drive bay to be individually utilized.
The RS2423RP+ is engineered to be energy efficient. Not only does it offer three 60 x 60 x 38mm fans to help keep the system running cool, its noise-dampening design makes for quiet operation. The server supports numerous scheduled power on / off cycles and hard drive hibernation to further minimize power consumption and operation expenses.
The Synology DiskStation RS2423RP+ 12-Bay NAS Enclosure operates on 100-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz using dual redundant power supplies and includes an accessory pack and two AC power cords. Protection is provided by a limited 3-year warranty.
