- Designed for content creators, the compact Samsung 1TB T9 Portable SSD now delivers a sequential read speed of up to 2,000 MB/s, which is nearly double its predecessor, the T7. The sequential write speed is up to 1950 MB/s, while photographers will be happy to know that the sustained write speed is up to 1000 MB/s (after Turbowrite). The T9 now features a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2×2 port, delivering up to 20 Gb/s of max throughput.

In addition to the T9’s impressive transfer speed of up to 2,000 MB/s, T9’s Turbowrite buffer size was increased to suit the usability of content creators. For sustained performance, the T9 has a write speed up to 1,000 MB/s (after Turbowrite) without any sudden performance drops, which is essential for high-end camera users.
Thermals
The T9 does not have any performance drops due to thermal throttling.
Power
The T9 has five times lower power consumption in its idle state compared to competitors. Idle power consumption is important, since PSSD completes host commands quickly and drops back to idle status for the remaining time.
