Designed for content creators, the compact Samsung 1TB T9 Portable SSD now delivers a sequential read speed of up to 2,000 MB/s, which is nearly double its predecessor, the T7. The sequential write speed is up to 1950 MB/s, while photographers will be happy to know that the sustained write speed is up to 1000 MB/s (after Turbowrite). The T9 now features a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2×2 port, delivering up to 20 Gb/s of max throughput.
When it comes to the design, the T9 has curved diagonal lines and reverse carbon patterns, which gives its rubber surface a more fabric-like feel and a soft touch. Add low idle power consumption and reliable durability, and the T9 is ready to join in the field.

Note: To achieve maximum advertised speeds, please make sure your computer or host device is certified to support the 20 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 connection. Apple devices, including those with Thunderbolt/USB4, do not support 20 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 and will be limited to 10 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2.

In addition to the T9’s impressive transfer speed of up to 2,000 MB/s, T9’s Turbowrite buffer size was increased to suit the usability of content creators. For sustained performance, the T9 has a write speed up to 1,000 MB/s (after Turbowrite) without any sudden performance drops, which is essential for high-end camera users.
